What is circuits?
Also known as
'Interval/cross training' a circuit training class is where the
participant performs a number of themed and times exercises in
succession. These are known as 'stations'.
Each station will vary the
exercise type and will include bodyweight exercises, free weights
and cardio work.
The key component of a circuit
class is that it raises the heart rate during the class and keeps
it slightly elevated for the next 36hrs. So, the body is forced to
burn calories effectively long after the class!
