The café is open every day from 9am, closing at 7pm weekdays and
4pm at weekends. Springfield Stadium opened in 1997, in time for
the Island Games. In the early days the centre operation was quite
different to today. The gym was developed in 2006 and
extended in 2007 to accommodate the rising demand for health and
fitness facilities. The centre has a busy fitness class
schedule, and on site nursery and regular club bookings in the Blue
Room and Sports Hall.
The café operation is quite different than it was in those early
days when it remained open on match days. Now the centre and
café is continually busy and since the introduction of the new 3G
pitch the amount of football played has increased substantially. Of
course the Muratti remains the biggest crowd draw of the year.
Children's parties have become a regular feature. 5-a-side
football is popular with boys and girls love princess parties. In
summertime the outside play area is ideal to burn off some energy.
Parents can book sessions in the Sports Hall direct with the centre
and arrange the food element in the café.
There are also Karaoke sessions every Saturday night in The Flag
and Whistle Bar Lounge, from 7.30pm.
The café offers a typical menu, with specials being available
for private functions. If you would like to book a private
