Leisure Assistant Higher

What you'll do:

• Help run activities like fitness classes, swimming lessons, and sports coaching.
• Keep everyone safe by knowing first aid and how to handle emergencies.
• Set up and pack away equipment for different activities.
• Keep the facilities clean and tidy, including checking water quality in the pool.
• Sometimes help out at the front desk, taking payments and answering questions.
• Be friendly and helpful to all sorts of people using the facilities.

Essential Qualifications:

• National Pool Lifeguard Qualification
• National Pool Plant Operator
• Qualified Swimming Teacher or Qualified Group Fitness Instructor

Technical Work based skills: 

• Health and Safety 
• A good level of fitness/aquatic fitness
• Acceptable level of the English Language
• Demonstrate good organisational skills in the preparation of session plans for group fitness / swim teaching classes (together with record keeping to report on the attainment of skills)
• A strong communicator, with the ability to effectively communicate with a range of customers, of varying ages, abilities and nationalities, which includes children, parents and customers with varying needs.
• Use of Microsoft, bespoke computerised booking systems and online training
