We’re thrilled to announce that Springfield Stadium has passed its Step 4 Accreditation, as of March 30th 2026.

To reach Step 4 of the National League System (NLS), football stadiums must achieve Grade D (or Grade E for the first season post-promotion), requiring a total capacity of roughly 1,300 to 1,950+ spectators, 150–250 covered seats, secure boundary fencing, floodlights averaging at least 120-200 lux, and proper, separate dressing rooms.

Improvements made to Springfield Stadium include:

-    3G pitch replacement
-    upgraded floodlights around the pitch to energy-efficient LED units, helping reduce power consumption and environmental impact as well as providing improved visibility for evening and winter training.
-    Stadium seating area mini makeover, with fresh paint being applied to the walls and railings.
-    Repairs to ensure secure boundary fencing
-    Turnstiles upgraded to electronic ones, with ticket booths attached.
-    Press seating added to the stadium seating area
-    Dedicated pitch side toilet, with fencing installed on the external café toilets to meet these criteria.

The new 3G surface, certified for performance and safety, ensures the pitch can be used intensively throughout the year, even during adverse weather. Combined with the energy efficient LED floodlights, Springfield now offers a more sustainable, consistent and cost effective playing environment.

Achieving this in such a tight timeframe was only possible due to the collaborative efforts of Active, the Government of Jersey, Jersey Property Holdings and the Jersey Bulls.

Did you know that, on average, around 1,000 people use the Springfield pitch each week? Springfield Stadium, best known as the home of the Jersey Bulls, is also a much-loved community space.
