The Lions Swimarathon Jersey is back at Les Quennevais Sports Centre between the 25th and 29th March 2026!
Since its inception back in 1972, it has become a major fundraising and social event, spanning generations of islanders, and has raised almost £4 million for charity! The Lions Swimarathon is Jersey's longest running charity fundraising event.
The Lions Swimarathon brings together schools, workplaces, families and friends to raise vital funds for local charities across Jersey.
Each year over 2,500 swimmers participate, in over 400 teams (max 8 per team) in swimming lengths of the Les Quennevais Pool. Teams can be made up of adults, children, or mixed ages and abilities, making the event highly inclusive and accessible.
100% of swimmer‑raised funds go directly to the chosen charities, as the event’s sponsors cover all administrative and operational costs.
The theme for 2026 is diversity and inclusion. The 17 local chosen charities for 2026 are:
- Acorn Enterprises,
- Autism Jersey,
- Les Amis,
- Variety Club
- Beresford Street Kitchen
- Every Child Our Future
- Happy Heroes
- Jersey Childcare Trust
- Music in Action
- Freeda
- Silkworth Group
- Family Nursing & Home Care
- Jersey Eating Disorder Support (JEDS)
- Parkinson’s Jersey
- MND Association
- Healing Waves
- Wetwheels Jersey
It’s not about speed or competition - it’s about showing up, having fun, and supporting the community we all share.
Our viewing balcony is open during the event, if you’re heading up to Les Quennevais Sports Centre to support the Swimarathon.
Team Active is making a splash!
We’re excited to have two Active teams in the water this year:
Active Aquatic Angels and Active Amphibious Athletes!
Come and cheer them on as they swim at 3 PM on Wednesday 25th March! Want to help them reach their fundraising goals? Sponsorship forms are available at Les Quennevais reception.
