Your health is your responsibility. We are committed to providing the facilities, programs and encouragement to help you make positive choices and get the most from your membership. Together, we can create an environment where everyone takes responsibility for their wellbeing and respects the wellbeing of others.
Our commitment to you, our service users:
1. We will respect your personal decisions and allow you to make your own decisions about what exercise you can carry out, but ask you not to exercise beyond your own your abilities.
2. We will make every reasonable effort to ensure that our staff are trained to the relevant standards for your activities and will ensure first aiders are available in our facilities.
3. We will make every reasonable effort to ensure our equipment is safe for you to use and enjoy.
4. If you tell us you have a disability we will consider what adjustments, if any, are reasonable for us to make that will improve your access to our facilities.
Your commitment to us:
1. You will not exercise beyond your own abilities and will take advice from a medical professional before exercise if you become aware of a condition that might interfere with you exercising safely and will follow that advice.
2. You will make yourself aware of any Active rules and instructions, including warning notices and etiquette guidance, and follow them while using Active facilities.
3. You will notify a member of staff immediately if you feel our equipment or facilities are unsafe to use or if you feel ill, understanding that our staff are not medical professionals and can only assist with first aid.
4. You will make us aware if you have a disability, if adjustments are required for you to exercise safely, and will follow any reasonable instructions accordingly if we are able to accommodate your needs.
