Various membership models will be considered over the coming months.  Any changes to the membership offering will be communicated in advance of Active taking on the facility.

Active remain committed to providing facilities that are accessible to the community.  We anticipate streamlining membership options and pay and play pricing and do not anticipate any significant price increases.  Work in the transition period will determine this.  

No sorry, for now your membership remains unchanged.  We will review the Active memberships over the coming months and notify customers of any changes to their membership benefits in due course.  

Your membership will move to a new Active equivalent. You’ll keep your current price initially, with any increases applied later, at time of your annual membership renewal or from 1^st January if you pay by Direct Debit. We’ll write to you in September, to formally notify you of the change applicable, which will include details of your new benefit package.

Your benefit package will change, please see the benefit table for more information, however we’re pleased to confirm all new memberships give you access to all of the Active public facilities.

You’ll have access to a wider Active network, more facilities and activities are included and we’ve limited increases wherever possible, whilst safeguarding the sustainability of the service.

Your Benefit package will change from the 1st October. Price changes will begin during the transition period from October, however, most price changes will be applied from January 2027 or at the date of your annual membership renewal.

Yes, the services will be retained and we will continue to offer the same party product currently offered at the Aquasplash.

Yes, it is intended to continue with the current arrangements for block bookings. Block hirers should contact the Sports Bookings team if they would like to confirm their requirements from the 1^st October.

Yes, we’re please to offer all existing members access to the Aquasplash, as standard, across all membership types. In addition, we have replaced “On-spec” benefits, with preferential rates for advance booking our courts.

“On-Spec” was designed for a different environment when more courts were available. Today, customers prefer to book in advance, to guarantee their court so we’re moving to a simpler, fairer system that makes it 30% less costly for members to book their courts in advance.

No, existing customers will not see immediate price changes and these will only be increased annually, in January, in line with Government facility price increases linked to RPI.

New Active packages include a membership, giving better overall value and access to facilities. This is in line with the current Aquasplash product. New swim school memberships for non-members will include this automatically, and this is reflected in the new pricing. Existing non-member swim school customers will be given the option to upgrade.

No, existing customers will not see immediate price changes and prices will only be increased annually in line with RPI increases as long as their subscription remains current. The new product and pricing will be applied to new or returning customers who sign up from 1^st October.

Yes, Aquasplash visits will continue to include sauna and steam access where available. The Active product at Les Quennevais will be swim only, with an additional charge to use the sauna and steam for now while we review this arrangement.

The model at Aquasplash is new for Active and we need to review the potential impact of including Sauna and steam in that facility before making any changes at Les Quennevais. This is under review and may be subject to change, we will monitor customer feedback and how the product is used in real time at Aquasplash to inform any changes to the product going forward. 

The Family Flumes sessions require significant people resources to lifeguard the areas effectively and ensure everyone’s safety in the pool. We will retain the existing pricing for non-members, and charge a nominal fee of £2 per person for Active adult and child members.
