Elayne Cole has been a teacher for 30 years. She is a qualified
Fitness teacher and also a Yoga teacher. Recently Elayne
completed 400 hour Dynamic Yoga teacher training with Godfrey
Devereux and Olivia Crooks in Tuscany, Italy. Dynamic Yoga (the
Training Method) uses rhythmic repeated movements to prepare the
body for genuine stillness in classical yoga postures. It is soft
and kind to the joints. It makes you feel good in your body and in

"I started working at Les Quennevais Sports Centre in 1996 when
it opened; I was on the reception desk for my first shift with a
cash register! I worked in sports development for many years
managing Learn to Swim programmes and children's activities along
with administering sports club governance before returning to Les
Quennevais in September 2014 as Centre Manager. I'm happiest when
swimming in the sea with good friends - preferably at Grève de
Lecq.
Managing the 'best sports centre in the west' with so many friendly customers enjoying and participating in sport and a having a fantastic team of qualified and trained staff is a joy. I particularly enjoy teaching young children to swim, sadly I rarely get the chance these days to do this. I regularly deliver staff lifeguard training at all sports division 'wet sites'. Sam is a dedicated sportswoman, having participated in various
triathlons in Jersey, France and the UK as well as cycling races in
Jersey and France. Sam brings her passion for sport to her
classes.

I take Spinning Classes that are suitable for everyone from beginners to serious athletes and use a range of music from recent chart hits to musicals, so hopefully there will be something for everyone to enjoy".

"I grew up in north east England and started swimming
at age 7 when I competed for the local swimming club and primary
school. As well as swimming, another passion of mine is dancing. As
a teenager I competed in ballroom dancing competitions, in the
Latin American section.
Although I am passionate about swimming, I enjoy all kinds of exercise. During class I feel I can relate to customers easily and like to give something back to the people attending".

"I have been a competitive runner since 2006 and I bring that
passion for fitness and sport to my classes; I aim to bring the
best out of everyone and help them to safely and effectively push
their boundaries and guide them to progress and excel. I
occasionally compete in triathlon so have a good background in
cycling and water sports, and the challenges and benefits of both
activities, which allows me to bring an extra dimension to indoor
cycling and pool based activities and classes.
I am also a music tutor and performing musician; I play regularly with Jersey Symphony Orchestra, The Jersey Bounce Band, The Jèrriais band Badlabecques and have been running my own string quartet since 2003. I am passionate about great music and love bringing new and exciting music. to my classes to create a fun and motivating atmosphere".

"I have been instructing a variety of fitness classes at Les
Quennevais since November 2006 and have designed my classes to help
you achieve your fitness goals whilst more importantly enjoying
your time to exercise. I firmly believe if you find something you
enjoy then fitness becomes fun. Personally, I am passionate about
running. As a child I shied away from sport, but as an adult I
discovered running and have run (so far) 29 marathons! I also enjoy
encouraging young children to enjoy exercise, which is why when I
am not instructing adult classes I am working with young children
to encourage them to be active".
